Bharath Vidya Mandir (BVM ) Senior Secondary School follows the CBSE English Medium Syllabus which has been updated according to the National Curriculum Framework (NCF2005) with the first principle to relate classroom learning with children’s life outside . NCF 2005 emphasises on the values enshrined in our constitution ,wants to reduce curriculum burden on children, to ensure Quality Education for all and systematic changes as makers of curricula reform. It also states that learning experience at school should pave the way for construction of knowledge that fosters creativity and becomes a joy (without stress.)Curriculum transaction seeks hands-on experiences and project based approaches. National Council of Educational Research and Training(NCERT) has brought out the text books based on the same syllabus..This new Syllabus is placed on the NCERT website.(www.ncert.nic.in<\/a>).\u00a0 We could get the revised curriculum for\u00a0Secondary School(classes \u00a0IX\u00a0& X)\u00a0\u00a0and \u00a0Senior Secondary School classes XI\u00a0&\u00a0XII on the CBSE website\u00a0 ( www.cbse.nic.in<\/a>). Bharath Vidya Mandir (BVM ) school chooses NCERT or Private books with the same CBSE Syllabus for all the classes according to availability, information, quality and convenience.<\/p>\n

KINDERGARTEN (KG) SECTION\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

KG has two sections LKG ( Lower Kindergarten) \u00a0and UKG ( Upper Kindergarten). Children are normally admitted to LKG when they are 3 and a half years old.<\/p>\n

PRIMARY SECTION ( CLASSES I to V)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Follows a de-stressed curriculum. BVM provides the following subjects for this section.<\/p>\n

English, Malayalam, Hindi, Mathematics, Environmental \u00a0Studies(EVS), Computer Science , Work Experience, Physical Education, Art Education & Value Education.<\/p>\n

MIDDLE SCHOOL SECTION ( CLASSES VI to VIII)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

BVM offers the folowing Subjects :<\/strong><\/p>\n

English, Malayalam, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Science, Computer Science, Physical & Health Education, Work Experience, Art Education, Life Skills and\u00a0 Value\u00a0Education.<\/p>\n

SECONDARY SCHOOL SECTION ( CLASSES IX & X) <\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Subjects offered\u00a0under this section are English, Malayalam\/Hindi\/ Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science & Technology, Social Science, Computer Science, Physical & Health Education, Work Experience, Art Education, Life Skills and \u00a0Value Education.<\/p>\n

SENIOR SECONDARY SECTION ( Classes XI & XII) <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Courses offered for +2 at BVM are as follows<\/p>\n

GROUP NO 1\u00a0 — SCIENCE GROUP with MATHEMATICS, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY & COMPUTER SCIENCE<\/p>\n

GROUP NO 2\u00a0 — SCIENCE GROUP with BIOLOGY, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY & MATHEMATICS.<\/p>\n

GROUP NO 3— COMMERCE GROUP with BUSINESS STUDIES , ACCOUNTANCY, ECONOMICS and INFORMATIVE PRACTICES \/ MATHEMATICS \/ LANGUAGE.<\/p>\n
